Yamaha ATV Parts: Yamaha ATV Parts Featured at Online Open House Video
Posted on April 24, 2010Looking for the right Yamaha motorcycle part can be a daunting task. You may have to go through several used parts dealers before you find the right part you are looking for. The other dramas you will face no doubt will come in the form of gas, expense and time. At the end of the day you will be looking at an extensive amount of effort and you may have very little to show for it. This is what it is like when you are looking for motorcycle OEM parts for top brands including Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Honda.
That’s why you need to grab opportunities when you can. Powers Motor Sports, located in Fremont Michigan has another solution for you. These guys will literally open the door for you to come in and search through its wide showroom and even invite you back to the parts room to find the exact parts you are looking for. This is important because now you are able to get an inside view of a truly great resource. Powers Motor Sports typically runs their open house two times a year.
Online powerhouse Ted Cantu featured Powers Motor Sports on the popular Hot Metro Finds web site. This video site showcases the best of Michigan based businesses and promotes them on the Internet through viral marketing practices. This site takes search engine optimization to a whole other level.
“In the beginning nobody could understand the importance of going viral. Businesses confused it with being a virus. But this is not a virus in the negative sense. This is about Michigan companies like Yamaha atv parts dealer Powers Edge reaching more people through the web.” Says site creator Ted Cantu.
Now online searchers for Yamaha parts can see the new motorcycles of the season on video web sites like Hot Metro Finds and other video sites such as Revver and YouTube.Com. You are able to take a virtual walk through in the showroom and meet the staff right from your living room.
“The idea to showcase a showroom like Powers Edge was to bring the shopping experience to the end customer. We wanted to bring more to the table than just pictures and prices. Now we are able to show multiple Yamaha atv parts, new Yamaha rides and Yamaha motorcycles to the motorbike enthusiast and that has everyone excited. It’s a brand new culture that is emerging and the Internet plays a major role in that.” Says Cantu.

Yamaha ATV Parts Dealers And How Traditional Media Failed Them!
Posted on April 18, 2010Man this sounds like a soap opera on the Lifetime for Womans network. Jilted media moguls crying over spilt oil and lost profits. Lets face it. Traditional media has failed. Driving down 696 in Metro Detroit is a depressing experience. There are rows of neglected billboards with nothing more than phone numbers begging and pleading with drivers by to invest in them and restore them into 2010. As you drive further up north towards Grand Rapids traditional media still rings strong and true. You will see more Yamaha atv parts dealerships, Kawasaki powersports new vehicle dealerships and so on. All is not lost…. But for the most part traditional media is falling apart – fast.
Is this necessarily a bad thing? It is for the monopoly stake holders in traditional media. That’s for sure. For about 18 months I was hounded and harassed by CBS radio telling me to knock it off. Apparently I had committed some sort of crime. I was teaching dealerships how to promote themselves on the Internet with a cheap, no budget $16 dollar a month podcast show out of my living room. They cussed at me, left nasty messages and really showed poor showmanship. I think its funny. And yes, I actually am quite sure that I made more than the director of that station.
I know I did.
But that was just the beginning. Right after the podcast show ranked number 4 – in popularity nationwide – a funny thing happened to traditional media. The whole damn thing imploded on itself. Then after all of that I started to get contacted by motorsports people, automotive dealerships, GM, Ford motor company, used car dealerships, auto barrens, inventors of golf products and all sorts of stuff that I never thought of promoting.
Yamaha, GM, Ford, and the Auto Industry See’s The Light
Getting the search engines on my side was just the beginning. But this is when I knew I cracked the nut. I was dragged into a Brand Camp seminar at Lawrence Tech not too long ago and Scott Monty was there from Ford Motor Company. He said that getting automotive dealerships to embrace search engine marketing was going to be a lot like herding cats. I caught the whole thing on video and put it on the web. I even put it on my site.
I went into an automotive marketing NING site and introduced myself. All hell broke loose. You have a lot of floorman, showroom guys in there trying to learn how to do SEO. It’s a joke dude. The learning curve is WAY too high and most of them will never get it.
They are all in there arguing about meta tags. Meanwhile I have placed 50+ industries on page 1 without flinching. You can guess that my experience with these dolts did not go over too well. I got sick of arguing with all of them and actually asked them to yank my name out of their roster. They have not done it and I still get welcoming emails from them. But I speak the truth. Many of these individuals who are doing the SEO thing will not last for long. You have to be disciplined and for the most part you cannot be arrogant you have to continually produce new content for the web.
if automotive people are ever going to win this new form of media they have to become more adaptable. Simply blogging is not going to be enough, simply making a couple of videos is not going to be nearly enough to make it all work. There will have to be more marketing efforts from Yamaha atv parts dealers to sell their products. I am also talking about used Yamaha atv parts, ebay atv sales, online stores and motorcycle sales.
Yellow books aren’t going to cut it. Radio spots are not going to cut it. Either will newspapers.
Yamaha ATV Parts and Ebay – Its Your Choice
Posted on April 18, 2010If you ever want to totally depress yourself go buy your Yamaha atv parts on Ebay. It’s a lot like looking through your local scrap yard pile minus the smell. You can get a lot of crappy parts there that are all beat up and of questionable quality. The last time I looked on Ebay to get some motorsports parts I was somewhat shocked and appalled at how junky the selection was. A lot of these parts were used and dented. Aside from the paint chipped metal and dented parts I couldn’t overlook the fact that these parts were also very dirty. Now some of these parts were new and they were very small. But the parts selection in general was very sparse. I am talking about roughly 30 parts or less. But that’s not the disturbing part of the story.
When you are rebuilding an old ATV you need specific parts. These parts will change in design from year to year. When you buy different parts from year to year there is no guarantee there will be a fit. When you order your parts from Ebay like sites you might get stuck with a lemon. If and when that does happen you will have to try to make a deal with the seller to buy it back. There are no guarantees that this is going to work for you because the seller works as an independent. He is not a wholesale warehouse but he acts like one online. In the end you really are on your own.
Keep in mind that many motorsports vehicles are seasonal and you will have to decide if blowing a whole season is worth saving a few bucks. I am an impatient person and would rather have my Yamaha atv vehicle up and running instead of sitting in some shed. Waiting for the perfect price is absurd. Blow the money if you got it and get your Yamaha atv parts already. I like saving a few bucks now and then too but I would rather be driving my ATV through the hills on a sunny afternoon.
BUYING FOR A SPECIFIC YEAR
Different ATV’s have specific parts. To ensure a perfect fit you will need to make sure you have blueprints or microfiche that spell out the measurements. Some sites have this feature you would be surprised. We found some sites that offer specific information on fuel tanks. We found other sites that had microfiche information about the different types of brakes and even had them listed out by year. It was pretty interesting and very informative. From there you can get exactly what you are looking for so there is no guesswork.
Let me tell you why this is important. When I went to the scrap yard I had to fish through boxes of scrap metal, pieces of Kawasaki atv parts, and rusted metal garbage. Some Yamaha engine covers had a wasp nest in it and you could seriously lose your hand when digging around in between heaps of wrecked autos. Not to mention the mud. You could lose your footing and fall into a rusted hulk of a car and rip open your arm. I am not kidding. I went to a dump – literally – and wasted an entire afternoon looking for the golden goose. It was not a fruitful afternoon and I never wanted to do it again. Going to the junk yard sucks.
Ebay doesn’t have all the answers there is no debate there. But going to the junkyard is the pits. You are better off going online and paying through the nose for the parts you need. There are some sites that offer savings for up to 35%. Use your best judgment. There are deals out there that will work out for you. You’re job is going to be finding those sites and getting them to work for you. There are some tremendous deals out there for you. Getting your Yamaha atv parts does not have to be an ordeal. And if you act quickly there is plenty of time to get the parts you need before the first snowfall. As I write this we are in the month of May. The point is – don’t wait. Just go online and get what you need.

News today that the fallout from Yamaha’s recent financial woes has hit Canadian motor sport.
Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. announced that it will not participate in the 2010 Parts Canada Superbike Series, meaning there will no longer be an official Yamaha race team or the traditional manufacturer support for the series.
“Today’s economic climate forces us all to make tough decisions.” commented Tim Kennedy, National Manager, Marketing. “Our participation in the series was one of them.”
Although there will be no involvement in 2010, Kennedy stated, “Racing is integral to the Yamaha brand, and we will re-visit this opportunity in the future.”
Last season Andre Laurin and his squad handled Yamaha’s Canadian road racing program with assistance from Evan Steele Performance and sponsorship from Toyota Canada. Lead rider Kevin Lacombe rode a YZF-R1 to sixth in Parts Canada Superbike points with podium finishes in four of the seven races and took third in the Yoshimura Pro Sport Bike standings.
The national superbike series continues with the support of Parts Canada, Pirelli Tires, BMW Motorrad Canada, Canadian Kawasaki Motors, Honda Canada and Suzuki Canada. The 2010 race schedule will be released shortly.
